UFC 268 has announced that Germaine d'Randamie will face Irene Aldana. The main event is set for November 6th in New York City. Amanda Nunes will be fighting the winner in the featherweight division. UFC has stated that this fight will feature a mixture of styles. Although it is not clear if the matchup will include a knockout or submission, both women are considered elite competitors.
Amanda Nunes' first title defense against Julianna Pena
The UFC made history by making Amanda Nunes the first woman to successfully defend her bantamweight title twice. At UFC 277, Nunes defeated double champion Julianna Pena by unanimous decision. After losing the first fight, Nunes defended her title and beat Pena by unanimous decision. The fight was the biggest upset of all time in the UFC women's bantamweight division.
Germaine de Randamie vs. Alexandra Pantoja
Holly Holm has won over Irene Aldana. Germaine d'Randamie has declared her next fight a major affair. Both women will be defending their title in this matchup. Germaine de Randamie is currently the UFC women’s bantamweight champion. Pantoja, however, is the current featherweight champion.
Alexandra Shevchenko vs. Germaine de Randamie
The sportsbooks have Amanda Nunes as the favorite in this bout. She has a long history of dominating her opponents with strength. She excels at ground and pound. Nunes lost her last match. Nunes was in a good position to defeat de Randamie but she kept her distance and pounded her with shots. Shevchenko may be able to challenge for the title, but it is uncertain what the future holds for this division. Shevchenko might, however, stay at flyweight.
Alexandra Vieira vs. Germaine de Randamie
Germaine de Randamie is a former women’s featherweight champ who has won three consecutive fights. She won the UFC title against Holly Holm in February but was later stripped of the belt after refusing to face Cris Cyborg. Germaine de Randamie initially was to face Marion Reneau at UFC Rotterdam. Unfortunately, the Brazilian pulled it out due to injury.
Alexandra Shevchenko vs. Amanda Nunes
Shevchenko fought Nunes twice, with the first coming at bantamweight. Shevchenko dropped to 125 lbs and won the title. Both women are well-known pound-for-pound fighters, and fans have long been calling for a trilogy fight. Bisping is also involved in this fight.
