Ronda Rousey

Ronda Ronda, a mixed martial artist from America, is the UFC women’s champion at bantamweight. She was the UFC's first woman member, and she won 2012's inaugural Bantamweight Championship. In her early career, she competed in judo where she was awarded an Olympic bronze award. Rousey received an ESPY award in 2015 for being the "Best Female Athleticist of All Time". Reebok, Buffalo Jeans (and Pantene) are her endorsed athletes.

Brandi Chastain

Brandi Chastain, if you are familiar with women's hockey, is probably someone you have heard of. In 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final she scored the winning penalty shootout goal against China. Michelle Kwan

In 1996, the United States figure skate team was founded. Kwan was selected for the team, but was forced to withdraw by injury. She later qualified for the 2006 Olympics in Turin, but she withdrew due to injury and did not compete. Kwan returned to school and earned a master’s degree at Tufts University in 2007. Kwan has been an ambassador for sports, the environment, and other causes.

Ann Meyers Drysdale

Ann Meyers Drysdale was a former basketball star who is now one of the most popular women in sports. Born in San Diego, she was 5'9" and a pioneer of the sport. She played her last game in 1993 and is still a major player in basketball 35-years later. Today, she is a vice President of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and a color analysis for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.

Janet Evans

Janet Evans is the first American woman who won four individual Olympic golds medals. She was a great distance freestyle swimmer in the 1980s and 1990s. She also won three gold medals at Seoul Olympic Games. She broke the 16-minute barrier in 1988's 1,500-meter freestyle. Her time would have earned them a medal in the 1968 Olympics men's race. She won the Sullivan Award as a top amateur athlete in 1989.
