PUMA is a soccer sponsorship

Coca-Cola and Pepsi have announced new major league sports sponsorships. Coca-Cola has signed a four-year sponsorship deal for Major League Soccer. Pepsi was the first major brand to sponsor Major League Soccer. However, it has increased its sponsorships in the past few years. The company also sponsors several MLS teams, including FC Dallas and New York City FC. The partnership also allows Pepsi to promote its different brands.

FedEx

FedEx has partnered to promote soccer by UEFA, which is the governing body for European soccer. The three-year agreement will see FedEx sponsor the UEFA Champions League as well as other competitions. FedEx will also sponsor the Uefa Youth League (UEFA Super Cup), and Uefa eChampions League (UEFA Champions League). In addition, FedEx has been a sponsor of the Europa League since 2015, and it will continue to do so into the 2020-21 season. FedEx also holds the rights for UEFA EURO 2020 finals and Uefa Nations league finals.


Gazprom

Gazprom sponsoring soccer has been the topic of much controversy over recent months. A number of European football clubs have withdrawn their shirt sponsorships from Gazprom due to concerns that they support Russian companies. One such team, Schalke 04, pulled its shirt sponsorship from Gazprom, citing UEFA's ethical guidelines. Europe and the entire world have been growing concerned about Russian-backed corporations. Gazprom is a Russian natural-gas company with its headquarters in Saint Petersburg. The Russian government controls the majority of the company, which has a significant presence in the world of soccer.

Hisense

Hisense, one of the largest TV producers in the world, is not unfamiliar with sponsorship. The company has been active in major brand events including the 2010 World Cup and recent World Cup Russia. Hisense's global awareness has increased by over 6 percent thanks to sponsorships. Sponsorships not only increase sales but also promote the company's products via global advertising campaigns and engagement on-site. Volkswagen wants to rectify its image after the scandal surrounding diesel-emissions that rocked the globe last year and make a shift towards electric cars. To achieve this, the Wolfsburg-based automaker is spending big money on a new soccer team in Germany's top division. An insufficient revenue stream and a lack of international fans have led to experts questioning the reasoning behind such a large investment.
