Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati-based soccer player. At age 5, she began playing soccer in coed youth leagues of the YMCA. When she scored her first goal, she didn't smile or celebrate, but instead kept her cool and played the game on. She played for several local soccer teams, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew into a Cincinnati native and attended Mount Notre Dame High School. Later she received a scholarship from the University of Wisconsin. She now plays for the Washington Spirit of the NWSL. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer, is what Lavelle attributes to her discovery of her passion for soccer.

Lavelle has represented the United States women's national team at the youth and senior levels. In November 2015, she was named the top midfielder in the Big Ten. Later, she was awarded the NSCAA's first-team honor all-American. Lavelle also played in the USL W-League 2014 for the Dayton Dutch Lions, as well as the Seattle Sounders Womens in W-League 2015. Lavelle joined Washington Spirit after graduating college. Lavelle returned to Dayton in time for the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League season.

Rose Lavelle won Big Ten's Midfielder Award of the Year in December 2015. Rose Lavelle was also selected to play on the U.S. Women's National Team but did not make it onto the game-day roster. That's when her frustration began to build. She felt that she wasn't making the right progress, and that she wasn’t in the best condition to take on the challenges of playing for the national teams. Through a meeting she had with Coach Wilkins, she was finally able to make progress.
Rose Lavelle plays soccer for the Badgers but is also an active participant in the university's community services programs. She is a key participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience. She has also become a brand ambassador for the premium light beer FLIGHT by Yuengling.

Rose Lavelle is from Cincinnati, Ohio. At just 15 years old, she became a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team. She recently participated in the SheBelieves Cup, Czech Republic. Although the USWNT drew the game 0-0, they had outshot their opponents 18-6. Rose Lavelle was named Budweiser Woman-of-the Match.

Lavelle was injures in a friendly game against Australia in June 2017. She was hurt in the hamstring, but she returned to USWNT for the last game. She showed a lot of creativity throughout tournament. Both her teammates as well as her coaches praised her for being a breakout player.
Lavelle played at the World Cup in the United States. She played against Thailand in her World Cup debut, but she sat out against Chile. She later returned against Sweden, helping the United States press its attacks.
