Louise Suggs created the LPGA, which is a tour for women who compete in major golf championships. Suggs and her two partners helped establish the organization, establishing rules and organizing tournaments. They also founded and promoted teaching clinics and made numerous appearances, including at minor league baseball games and civic organizations.
In the early 1960s, Suggs played a 72-hole exhibition tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida. Suggs played against other LPGA and PGA professionals in this tournament.
