She acts as a mentor for the next generation female coaches

Jill Ellis has established a mentoring program for the next generation of women soccer coaches. She also serves as the president of the San Diego Wave FC franchise, the newest team in the National Women's Soccer League. She will share the knowledge and experience she has gained in building communities and motivating people to achieve a common goal.

Ellis has been hard at work over the past year in developing the program, and soliciting donations. The money Ellis raises will be used to help promising women coaches, who might otherwise not have the funds to pay for expensive licensing programs. The women will be assigned mentors who will provide advice and help build their professional networks. The program is expected to sponsor about three dozen women in its first year.

She would love to have a female coach as her head coach
