USWNT Midfielder Tim Horan has agreed to a French loan deal with Olympique Lionnais until June 2023. The deal will see him join the club in 2019 season. Horan will be joining Catarina Mcario, USWNT's teammate. Both players have been in the Lyon squad since last season and will be part of the team going forward.
The move comes as no surprise given Horan's recent history in Europe. From 2012 to 2016, she was a player in France with Paris Saint-Germain. She won the Women's World Cup in Lyon recently and signed a contract extension for Thorns FC. This will allow her to remain in the US through 2025.
